It is often said that the eyes are the window to the soul, and there is no doubt that the eyes are a very important part of any CG character. Mechaman has Jon Miles of Miles Research to thank for the use of a high-resolution photographic eye texture, which would not have been possible without the special iris camera system that Jon developed. Please take a moment to browse his website. There are a number of interesting links there, and not all of them are necessarily related to iris photography.

I want to thank Bassam Kurdali for making his Mancandy character, as well as the Mancandy FAQ dvd. The DVD taught me a massive amount, and is what inspired me to make Mechaman in the first place. (I originally intended him as a simple rigging exercise.)

I also want to thank everyone on the Blender Artists forums who helped me to resolve the numerous rigging issues that I ran into while making Mechaman a reality. It's a wonderful little community on BA, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Last but most certainly not least, I would be remiss if I didn't thank Ton Roosendaal and the entire development team that brought us the wonderful free software package that is Blender. The leaps and bounds that the devs make on a regular basis never cease to amaze me. Keep it up guys, you're amazing!
